Ida

Prevention of violence through education and identity development

Ida was a project for the empowerment of young women who have experience with flight and migration. Ida focused on the prevention of violence through education and the accompaniment of identity development. It worked on three levels: Empowering young women and girls, raising awareness among young men and boys, and educating and sensitizing educators and future teachers.

Ida offered advice, support and training. In addition, Ida had a bridging function, mediated in conflicts between young women and their parents’ home, between young women and school, and accompanied the step to further supporting agencies.

In the project years 2022 and 2023, the focus was on supporting educational transitions and preventing participants from dropping out of education.
