On 6 September, the Children’s University on Tour received a special visit during its stop in the Lorenz-Bayer-Park: Vice-Rector Christa Schnabl from the University of Vienna came by to talk to the young researchers, listen to the lecture on “Diversity” together with them and then hand over the graduation certificates that belong to the end of each course of study. She also met the UniClub youth Nikola, who is expected to start his studies at the University of Vienna this semester.

From 01 July to 07 September the Children’s University was on tour in Vienna. This year for the first time with a new concept: Instead of individual days as before, the popular science project of the Children’s Office of the University of Vienna stayed in a park, playground or community building for up to a whole week. More than 1,000 children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14 were able to become experts every day on a new topic – from body and strength to environmental protection, water and diversity – without having to register and with lots of fun. A small research project was carried out on each topic, amazed with exciting experiments and discussed in interactive lectures.
